SWAMPSCOTT – Marian Court College is offering a free college education to anyone who wants it.It?s no two- or four-year degree, but a few community-oriented courses that President Denise Hammon said are part of the college?s 50th anniversary celebration to invite the public onto the Swampscott campus. “We believe in education for everyone,” Hammon said Monday.Kicking off this week with “Introduction to Microsoft Suite,” the program will continue through October with “Exploring Art Genres” on Oct. 9 and 23, and ending in November with “Professional Skills Month,” on Nov. 6 and 20.In addition to the courses, on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m., Phyllis Karas, author of Whitey Bulger books “Brutal” and “Where?s Whitey,” will discuss her research and thoughts on the recent trial.
