Roundup: Prep soccer tops Central Catholic

The St. John?s soccer team is scoring at a clip that has even caught veteran coach Dave Crowell somewhat by surprise. The Eagles rolled to their fourth consecutive win Saturday in Danvers, dismantling Central Catholic, 7-1, in non-league play.During the winning streak, St. John?s has outscored the opposition, 20-3. The Eagles raced out to a 5-0 halftime lead Saturday.?We?ve got a lot of weapons we?re finding out. It?s a bit surprising but we?re playing unselfishly and as a team. Guys are finding open guys and they?re finishing when they get the chance,” said Crowell.Paul Magazzu scored two goals, Anthony Vigliotta had a goal and two assists, and Liam Welch had a goal and assist. Brandon Lejeune, Mike Lanza and Matt Chilton also scored.
