Lynnfield is now 1-5.Ham-Wen 15, Saugus 50At Hamilton-Wenham, Krissy Italiano led the Sachems in the 3.1-mile race (10th overall, 23:46). Ipswich had taken a 1-0 lead in the first half, but Saugus tied things up on a goal by Katie Italiano. The Sachems are 2-6-2.Lynnfield 3, Ham-Wen 2At Lynnfield, the Pioneers led 2-0 at halftime. Lynnfield took a 3-0 lead midway through the second half, when Bailey Fanikos scored her third goal of the game. Hamilton scored twice in seven minutes to cut the Lynnfield lead to one (3-2) with six minutes left. The Pioneers (6-3-1) prevailed in large part because of freshmen Marianne Oliveri and Kathleen Hamm.VOLLEYBALLLynnfield 3, Saugus 0At Lynnfield, the Pioneers (7-2) won 25-6, 25-13, 25-17. Hannah Shaievitz had nine kills and three blocks and Kelly Corcoran had 19 digs and four kills. On Friday, the team will play Masco at home on “Dig Pink” day. Katherine Brown had six solo blocks and eight aces while serving; Bridget Keaton had nine aces and Kristen Abbondanza and Olivia George had five each. Abbondanza also had eight kills.
