BOSTON – A Lynn teen is in critical condition after police said he was thrown from his SUV as it rolled out of control on Route 495 in Haverhill.Edward Soriano, 18, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Lawrence General Hospital and then flown by helicopter to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston on Thursday, according to police.A hospital spokesperson said Sunday that Soriano was in critical condition.State Police said troopers responded to a crash on Route 495 southbound, south of exit 48 in Haverhill, at approximately 10:30 a.m. Thursday, according to a press release from the agency.Police said a 2003 Nissan Xterra veered off the road and into the median area, then came back into the roadway and rolled over numerous times. Police said the victim was not wearing a seat belt. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The accident prompted officials to close one travel lane and the breakdown lane of Route 495 southbound so public-safety personnel could respond to the scene.Neither a phone number for Soriano nor his family could be found on Sunday evening.
