LYNN – Police in multiple communities are seeking an African-American male suspected in 21 armed robberies at convenience stores throughout the area, 10 of which occurred in Lynn.”Thus far there have been no injuries in any of the incidents, however, in most of these incidents the suspect has displayed a handgun,” Lynn Police Lt. Rick Donnelly wrote in a press release Thursday.The alleged robberies have been reported in Lynn, Cambridge, Chelsea and Everett between Feb. 2 and Nov. 11 of this year, according to police.This suspect is consistently described as an African-American male wearing sunglasses. Other descriptions have varied, with the man’s height ranging from approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall and of a slim to heavy build, according to police.In most robberies, the suspect has shown a handgun that is tucked into his waistband, and the weapon has not been drawn. The suspect wears a hood or a baseball cap depending on whether the weather is cold or warm, respectively.Anyone with information is urged to call the Lynn Police at 781-595-2000.
