SAUGUS – On Saturday, Dec. 14, the bidding wars will begin, and Hilltop Steak House regulars will know just how much they are willing to spend to get a piece of their favorite restaurant.?Everything to the four walls must be sold,” reads the notice of the liquidation auction on John McInnis Auctioneer?s website, and according to the list of the more than 1,000 items, including memorabilia and décor, kitchen equipment, restaurant and butcher shop equipment, lighting, bathroom and other fixtures, it?s all up for sale.Peter Rossetti, the attorney representing Hilltop, said Tuesday that even some of the iconic fiberglass cows would be sold at auction. “It?s kind of amazing,” said Rossetti of the amount of items. “It was all laid out in the function hall, and it was pretty impressive to see all that stuff.”Rossetti predicted all would be sold, save for one item. “Whatever goes there, the cactus will remain,” he said, grinning. “I don?t think the Zoning Board of Appeals would allow another one to go up.”According to McInnis Auctioneer?s, the on-site auction will be held on that Saturday in two parts, with a session dedicated to restaurant equipment at 10 a.m. and a second session for furnishings, memorabilia and decor at 2 p.m. On Friday, Dec. 13, there will be a preview of the merchandise from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., also on-site.For photos of the items for sale or more information, go to http://www.mcinnisauctions.com.
