Caldwell College senior forward Jeanette Anderson of Lynn/Lynn English continues to rack up the honors. Anderson was named both the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week and the Defensive Player of the Week.She registered her 40th career double-double by scoring 19 rebounds and hauling down 15 rebounds in a loss to Franklin Pierce University last Friday. She also had four steals and held Franklin Pierce?s Kara Charette, who is the Northeast-10 leading scorer with an average of 20.3 points per game, to only 11 points.Anderson is averaging 18.8 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. She?s fifth in the conference in scoring and fourth in rebounding. Anderson is a three-time all-CACC player.Nick Grassa of Lynn/Salem State University also had an impressive week. The former Classical High standout averaged 17.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Vikings. He had a game-high 24 points in SSU?s 80-75 overtime win against Plymouth State University. Grassa had 11 points in a 70-63 win over Southern Maine.The Framingham State University women?s basketball team has three players from Lynn on the roster. Monta Connolly, who had a stellar career at Classical High School, has played in all six games so far. She started one and is averaging 6.5 points per game. Kayla Murkison from Lynn English is a junior guard. She has also played in six games and is averaging 5.8 points per game. Gina Pedro, a sophomore guard from Lynn/Mystic Valley Charter School, is also seeing some time for the Rams.
