December 31, 2013 by itemlive_news

After a slow start this year, the Item Santa Salvation Army Fund has surged in recent days to pass the $85,000 mark – still below 2012 but much more than even a week ago.You can still donate and get that valuable tax deduction for 2013: Simply make a check out to the Salvation Army Item Santa and mail it to Salvation Army Item Santa, P.O. Box 951, Lynn MA 01903, or print out this coupon. We are publishing a large list of donors on Page A3 of today’s edition of The Daily Item. The shorter collection season, cold snaps and construction at “Santa Island” all are believed to have contributed to the drop in donations.
