Peabody, Marblehead split NEC track meet

Marblehead took the top spot for the girls and Peabody snagged the honor for the boys in the Northeastern Conference meet held Friday at the Reggie Lewis Center in Roxbury.View Photo GalleryIn the girls meet, the Magicians just slipped past Beverly with 99 points to the Panthers’ 98. Peabody took third (54 points) followed by Revere (23); Salem (22); Classical (19 1/2) Swamspcott (19); Winthrop (16), Gloucester (11 1/2) and Danvers (10).In the boys meet, the Tanners (93 points) won by a comfortable margin.
