LYNN – A judge ordered $500 cash bail each for two city men who, along with a third person, allegedly robbed a man and a woman at gunpoint in their Hollingsworth Street driveway early Wednesday morning.The gun turned out to be a BB gun, police said.Brian Redondo, 20, of 2 Brightwood Terrace #9, and Delvin Colon, 26, of 19 Amity St., were each arrested and charged with two counts of armed robbery at 2:39 a.m. Wednesday.Both defendants were arraigned Thursday in Lynn District Court where pleas of not guilty were entered on each defendant’s behalf, according to court documents.Police responded to Hollingsworth Street and met the two alleged victims and a third man who translated the conversation between one of the alleged victims and police, according to a report by Lynn Police Officer Joseph Curley. The alleged victims told police they were getting out of their car in the driveway of their Hollingsworth Street residence when three men approached, according to police. Police said the alleged victims reported that one of the three alleged assailants pulled out a black handgun and demanded the alleged victims’ money and cell phones. The suspects – described as black men dressed in all black and possibly wearing masks – then allegedly fled down Rockaway Street toward Essex Street, according to police.Police stopped two persons – later identified as Redondo and Colon – matching this description at the corner of Rockaway and Essex streets a few minutes later.Police allegedly found a small black handgun, later determined to be a BB gun, when frisking Redondo. They also found a folding knife on Colon, police reported. The report does not note that police found a cell phone reported stolen or the total amount of cash reported stolen by the alleged victims.The two alleged victims each independently identified Redondo and Colon as two of the people who had robbed them, however, according to police. One of the alleged victims told officers Redondo had used the gun. A third suspect was described as a heavy-set male with all black clothing and a mask, according to police.Police said Redondo and Colon told police they were just coming home from a friend’s house, but police said the suspects could not give officers an address of where they had been.Essex Assistant District Attorney Justin Edwards requested $1,500 bail for each defendant. Judge James Wexler ordered $500 cash bail and scheduled both defendants to return to court March 11.
