LYNN – A judge ordered a city man held without bail on attempted murder and kidnapping charges after a woman reported that her mother was being abused and held against her will at the man’s apartment.”Now I’m dead ’cause you brought the cops into this, (the defendant) told me he’d kill me if he ever got arrested,” the alleged victim told her daughter outside the man’s apartment, according to a report by Lynn Police Officer Jack Marr. “I can’t ever leave him, he won’t let me.”Scott Larrabee, 46, of 8 Lafayette Park #9, was arrested and charged with kidnapping, witness intimidation; assault and battery; attempted murder; threat to commit a crime; and a warrant; at 10:35 p.m. Monday.Larrabee was arraigned on the charges Tuesday in Lynn District Court where a plea of not guilty was entered on his behalf.The daughter of the alleged victim called police Monday for a well-being check on her mother after receiving several text messages from the alleged victim, according to police. Police noted the messages said the alleged victim reported being afraid of Larrabee, that the alleged victim had been threatened, and the alleged victim would leave the house “to get (her) life back” once Larrabee fell asleep.The daughter said she texted her mother when she was outside the apartment to pick her up, but got no reply.Nobody answered the apartment door after several minutes and police called for fire to break the door down.When firefighters arrived with a door opener, the alleged victim let police inside and officers found Larrabee lying on the floor in the fetal position, according to police.The alleged victim told officers she didn’t answer the door because Larrabee “told me if I did he would (expletive) kill me, excuse my French.”The alleged victim also told police Larrabee had, a few weeks earlier, head-butted her and choked her so hard she “couldn’t breathe ? couldn’t even scream.”Essex Assistant District Attorney Aimee Conway requested Larrabee be held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing. Public Defender Tom Pierce did not challenge probable cause for the hearing.Judge Ellen Flatley ordered Larrabee held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing next Tuesday.
