LYNN – A judge Tuesday released a Beverly woman allegedly found with drugs and a stolen vehicle. A judge Thursday did not.”I recognized (the defendant), a heroin user, from a prior arrest,” Lynn Police Officer Jeffrey Trahant wrote in a police report Wednesday. “I also knew that she had been arrested yesterday for receiving a stolen motor vehicle and drug offenses.”Shara M. Belgiorno, 22, of 60 Rantoul St., Beverly, was arrested and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle; receiving a stolen motor vehicle; and possession of Class B drugs; at 8:22 p.m. Wednesday.She was arraigned on the charges Thursday in Lynn District Court where a plea of not guilty was entered on her behalf.Belgiorno was charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle; possession of Class E drugs; and possession of Class C drugs; on Tuesday.She was arraigned on those charges later that day in Lynn District Court where a plea of not guilty was entered on her behalf, according to court documents.Police reported responding to Liberty and Willow streets Tuesday when a woman reported seeing her stolen car with a strange woman passed out inside.Officers recognized Belgiorno as the woman passed out in the driver’s seat of the vehicle, which had been reported stolen Jan. 24, according to police. Officers also reported recovering used needles strewn throughout the car and a crack pipe and benzodiazepine inside Belgiorno’s purse.Lynn District Court Judge Ellen Flatley released Belgiorno on personal recognizance Tuesday but warned the defendant that her bail could be revoked were she to commit another criminal offense.Police passing a Tedeschi’s on Lewis Street at 8:53 p.m. Wednesday noticed a 2008 blue Infiniti in the parking lot which had been reported stolen about five minutes earlier, according to Trahant’s report.The car was running and a purse left inside the vehicle, police reported. Officers went inside the store and saw Belgiorno.”When she saw Ofc. (Michael) Gorman, she appeared to be caught off guard and nervous,” Trahant reported. “She did not have a purse on her person.”Surveillance footage showed Belgiorno driving the vehicle into the store’s parking lot and then coming into the store, according to the police report.Belgiorno said she had seen the vehicle left unlocked and running on Alice Avenue and had taken it to buy a pack of cigarettes, police said. Police found suspected crack cocaine in Belgiorno’s bra during booking, according to the report.A prosecutor Thursday requested Belgiorno’s bail from Tuesday be revoked. Judge James LaMothe allowed the motion, sending Belgiorno to jail for up to 60 days.
