SALEM – Salem Theatre Company and Scamps Comedy Productions team up to celebrate the end of “meteorological winter” on Saturday with a night of comedy from two very funny Steves. Shake off those cobwebs, get out of the cabin and prepare to let loose as Steve Calechman and Steve Macone take the stage at 7:30 p.m. for one show only at the STC Theater, 90 Lafayette St. in Salem. Tickets are $20.Steve Calechman has gone to any and all lengths to perform his act – in clubs, colleges, roadside bars, boats, ladders, a zoo – earning laughs in every location. The Boston native has appeared with the likes of Louie C.K., Bobcat Goldthwait, Sarah Silverman and Steven Wright. He has been a correspondent for the New England Patriots online show and is the announcer for the Boston Lobsters tennis team. In that capacity, he’s touched Billie Jean King’s hair (well-conditioned) and has given Martina Navratilova a nickname (Top Cat). He’s also a professional humor writer, a contributor to the Boston Parents Paper and a contributing editor for Men’s Health magazine.Steve Macone, a cross between the life of the party and the most nervous person in the room, has entertained audiences across the globe, writes for the satirical website The Onion, and is a headlining comedian at colleges around the East Coast. He’s been a finalist in the standup contest at the Boston Comedy Festival and created the theme-standup show “Smart-ernative.” You may have also seen him perform on Comedy Central. Steve has been published in The New York Times, Boston Globe Magazine, Weekly Dig, Boston Phoenix and The Christian Science Monitor. This outrageous comedy night has one performance on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 online at www.salemtheatre.com or by calling Ovation Tix at 866-811-4111. Salem Theatre Company performs at the STC Theatre, 90 Lafayette St. in downtown Salem.
