REVERE – Local voters go to the polls for the eighth time in 12 months today to choose between RoseLee Vincent or Todd Taylor to represent part of Revere, Saugus and Chelsea in the state Legislature.Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m., and the winner of the special election may face opposition again in the fall state election cycle.Revere resident and Democrat Vincent worked for former state Rep. Kathi-Anne Reinstein and her late father, former mayor and legislator William Reinstein, and she has secured – according to her campaign statements – support from Mayor Daniel Rizzo and the Massachusetts Teachers Association.Chelsea Republican Taylor owns a Boston business providing temporary workers for restaurants and functions. Taylor, 46, said he will consider a fall run for the Massachusetts House?s 16th Suffolk District if he loses today?s election.Revere Election Commissioner Diane Colella predicted turnout among 25,900 registered voters today will range between 15 percent and 17 percent. Colella said about 13 percent of registered voters cast ballots in the March 4 special primary for the 16th district seat.Voters have gone to the polls since last April to vote for a proposed Revere casino in February and they cast ballots in separate municipal and special state elections to fill U.S. House and Senate seats.Saugus precincts 3 and 10 will be open today along with the following Revere precincts: Ward 1, Precinct 3: Revere Youth Center, 150 Beach St.; Ward 3, Precinct 1: Abraham Lincoln School, Malden Street; Ward 4, Precinct 1: American Legion, 249 Broadway; Ward 4, Precinct 2: fire station, 400 Broadway; Ward 4, Precinct 3: Lighthouse Nursing Center, 204 Proctor Ave.; Ward 5, Precinct 1: Point of Pines fire station, 140 Lynnway; Ward 5 Precinct 1A and 2: Jack Satter House, 420 Revere Beach Blvd.; Ward 5, Precinct 2A: Freeman Street fire station; Ward 6, Precincts 1 and 2: Whelan School, 107 Newhall St.; and Ward 6, Precinct 3: North Revere fire station, 3 Overlook Ridge Drive.
