SAUGUS – RoseLee Vincent took a short break from work Tuesday night to celebrate being elected state representative of the 16th Suffolk District, but she planned to be back in the State House this morning.?Budget time is right now and I intend to get whatever I can for the cities of Revere, Saugus and Chelsea,” said Vincent from her party at Antonia?s at Revere Beach. She added that she had already met with the Speaker of the House Robert DeLeo regarding budget items.In Revere alone Vincent swept her competition, Republican Todd B. Taylor, when she earned 74.15 percent of the overall vote, with Taylor earning 25.3 percent of the vote, and swept all the wards in that city that she will be representing.In a release, Vincent said it was “an absolute honor” to be serving as representative after working in the district for 35 years. Vincent worked for former state Rep. Kathi-Anne Reinstein and her late father, former mayor and legislator William Reinstein.?I am humbled by the overwhelming support I received,” she wrote. “I?m forever grateful for the support of my family, my incredibly dedicated group of volunteers and to the voters of Revere, Saugus and Chelsea in achieving this victory. I am going to hit the ground running and give my heart and soul to be a strong voice for the communities and people of the 16th Suffolk District.”
