LYNN – A judge ordered $5,000 cash bail for a Revere teen who, along with two juveniles, police suspect in multiple armed robberies late Monday night and early Tuesday morning.”Additionally this was the third armed robbery, all containing similar suspect descriptions, all involving either the use of a gun or knife, in a two-hour time period,” Lynn Police Sgt. Robert Avery wrote in a report.Douglas Sermeno, 18, of 4 Aucella Court #1, Revere, was arrested and charged with carrying a firearm without a firearms identification card; use of a firearm in a felony, two counts; armed and masked robbery, two counts; carrying a loaded firearm without a firearms identification card; violation of a city knife ordinance; and receiving stolen property +$250; at 3:50 a.m. Tuesday.He was arraigned on the charge later that day in Lynn District Court where a plea of not guilty was entered on his behalf. Two 16-year-old juveniles were also charged with the same offenses, according to police records.Police responded to 140 Adams St. at 2:42 a.m. Tuesday where two victims reported being robbed at gunpoint while returning from buying cigarettes, according to police. The alleged victims independently told police a gold-colored Toyota slowed down as it passed them and then came back and stopped them outside of Girls Inc. on Essex and High streets.Police reported the alleged victims each said that two individuals in black hoodies jumped out of the car, in which a third person remained, and one of the individuals pulled out a gun. One of the alleged victims said the man with the gun was wearing a white hockey mask, police reported.While officers were interviewing the alleged victims, other officers stopped three people in a car matching the description of the suspected vehicle, police reported.Noticing a passenger trying to push something under the front seat, officers ordered the car’s occupants outside and searched them and the vehicle, according to Avery’s report. Police reported finding a loaded 22-caliber revolver, a white hockey mask, a folding knife, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles mask, phones and other items “all consistent with the items stolen” in other officers’ robbery reports.Police identified Sermeno as the driver.The alleged victims independently positively identified the suspects, and one alleged victim positively identified both the car and the gun, according to police reports.A prosecutor requested Sermeno be held on $50,000 cash bail at his arraignment, according to court documents. Lynn District Court Judge Cesar Archilla ordered Sermeno held on $5,000 cash, which Sermeno posted later that day, according to records.Court records do not provide details of the other alleged armed robberies, but the police log records armed robberies at 12:43 a.m. Tuesday on N. Common Street and at 12:50 a.m. Tuesday on the 100 block of Essex St.Sermeno is scheduled to return to court May 13.
