Tennis: Lynnfield boys eke out win over Ipswich

Joe Crowther pulled out a win in three sets at second singles Monday to left the Lynnfield boys tennis team to a 3-2 win over Ipswich at Ipswich.The match was tied 2-2 second singles still playing. Crowther won the first set, 6-4, lost the second, 5-7, and won the third, 6-4. Lynnfield also had wins from Mike Romano at third singles, 6-2, 6-2, and the first doubles team of Ethan Forrest-Will Durkee, 6-1, 1-6, 6-1.The Pioneers finished 8-7 last year, losing to Bedford in the first round of the tournament.?It was a good way to start the year,” coach Adam Milholland said.English 4, Salem 1At English, the Bulldogs (1-0) got off on the right foot.
