Tennis: Bahayez wins at first singles to secure Swampscott victory over Gloucester

Nazar Bahayez battled back from a loss in the first set to take his match at first singles and give the Swampscott boys tennis team the deciding point in a 3-2 win over Gloucester Wednesday at Swampscott.Bahayez lost the opening set, 3-6, but roared back to take the middle set, 6-0, against Gloucester?s Connor Adkins. The deciding set was a battle, but Bahayez prevailed.?It was a great match,” Swampscott coach Neil Whitehouse said. “The Adkins kid had Nazar figured out in the first set, but Nazar settled down and rolled through the second set.
