LYNN – Judges ordered $2,000 and $2,500 cash bail for two city men who allegedly drove off and dragged a man down the street after stealing some sneakers.”(The alleged victim) said that as (a defendant) began to drive away he grabbed onto the driver’s door through the open window,” Lynn Police Officer Peter Panacopoulos wrote in a report. “(The alleged victim) stated that (a defendant) sped down Blossom Street while dragging him alongside the car.”Brian Walsh, 25, of 223 Kings Hill Drive, and David Delauri, 22, of the same address, pleaded not guilty at their arraignments March 25 and April 7, respectively, to charges of armed robbery; and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.Police reported responding at 11:15 p.m. March 11 to Alley and Blossom streets when flagged down by the alleged victim, who told officers he was robbed of two pairs of $250 Nike foam composite sneakers.The alleged victim told police he went to the Wendy’s at Lynnway and Blossom Street to meet Walsh and Delauri, who had arranged to buy the sneakers via Facebook. Delauri allegedly got out of the back seat of a car to try on a shoe then punched the alleged victim in the face, knocking him over. Delauri allegedly grabbed the other three sneakers and jumped into the car.The alleged victim told police Walsh began driving away as the alleged victim chased the vehicle and then grabbed onto the door.The alleged victim said the car blew a stop sign at Alley and Blossom streets and an unidentified female in the car was “reaching over Walsh and was scratching the right side of (the alleged victim’s) face,” police reported.Police said the alleged victim said he yelled that he would let go if the car stopped, and the car stopped so the alleged victim could escape.Police reported fresh scratches on the alleged victim’s face and wounds on the alleged victim’s ankle that officers said were consistent with being dragged by a car.Police did not locate the suspects at their home, but saw a car that matched the alleged victim’s description of the suspect vehicle. Police said the hood of the car was warm as if it had been recently driven on the 40-degree Fahrenheit night.Judge James Wexler ordered $2,000 cash bail for Walsh on Monday while Judge Albert Conlon ordered $2,500 cash bail for Delauri at his March 25 arraignment. Walsh is scheduled to return to court May 13, and Delauri is set to return to court April 22.
