Andrew Gallahue had five goals to lead the St. John’s Prep lacrosse team to a 13-5 win over Malden Catholic Tuesday at Malden Catholic.The Eagles (2-2) also had some offensive producation from Owen Rockett of Marblehead, who had three goals and three assists, and another Marbleheader, Carter Lombardi, a freshman who scored his first goal. Nick DiCara had nine saves in net and Derek Yannone won 90 percent of the faceoffs.. The Prep plays Hingham Saturday.Beverly 9, Marblehead 4At Beverly, the Magicians (2-3) had single goals from Sam Paquette, Ben Anderson, Harrison Young and Brooks Tyrrell with Nathan Maselek (15 saves) playing well in net.Beverly got a lift from junior Nick Albano (3 goals, 3 assists) and freshman Sam Abate, who had three goals and an assist. he scored two of the first four goals and topped a great day by scoring s gem of a short-handed goal to put Beverly up by four in the third quarter. Senior captain Ty Martz had a good day on defense and Jack Atherton in the midfield recovered eight ground balls.
