Police ID victim in Lynn shooting death

LYNN ? Police have arrested a 17-year-old male in connection with a shooting death early Wednesday morning in Lynn.
Lynn Police responded to a reported shooting in the first floor hallway at 192 Washington St. at 12:30 a.m. They said Amoy Blake, 18, was taken to Union Hospital where he died of his injuries, according to a statement from Essex County District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett.
A 17-year-old male is under arrest and will be arraigned for murder in Lynn District Court Thursday. Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Essex District Attorney’s Office and Lynn Police continue to investigate.
A candlelight vigil is expected to be held at the fountain on Lynn Commons at 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to a posting on the Facebook page of a friend of Blake.The Daily Item staff is working on this story and will have more details as they become available.
