Freshman Gianna Denisco saw her first action in goal. She had nine saves.Winchester 15, Fenwick 7At Winchester, Merry Harrington had three goals, Colleen Corcoran, two goals and Annette Ruggiero and Tessa McLaughlin, one each. Meghan Woodworth (11 saves) was in net. The Crusaders are 5-3.BOYS LACROSSEFenwick 11, Haverhill 5At Bishop Fenwick, the Crusaders (5-4) came out flying, scoring the first three goals against the Div. 1 Hillies. Kyle Russell led the attack with four goals and one assist. Chris Napolitano (2 goals, 2 assists); Mark Nalesnik (3 goals) and Coleman Hebert and Kevin Hannon, one goal each, also supplied some offense.The Crusaders were without their face-off guy, Sam Mitchell, who broke his collarbone in practice the other day. Freshman Chris Terry came up from junior varsity to fill the slot and did an excellent job in his first varsity game.Marblehead 11, Salem 8At Marblehead, Brooks Tyrrell had a productive day, scoring six goals and assisting on another. Dean Fader (goal, assist); Harrison Young (goal, 2 assists); Ben Anderson (2 goals, assist) and Brad Knittle (goal) took care of the rest of the scoring. Nathan Maselek (10 saves) got the win in net.Woburn 16, Peabody 9At Peabody, Josh Fiore had a goal and four assists for the Tanners (2-4); other contributors included Ryan Wolff, Jeremiah Manfra and Mike Vadala (2 goals each) and Reed Foster and Bobby Caproni, one goal each.
