LYNN – A 15-year-old boy is to be arraigned in Lynn District Court today, charged with murder in connection with last week’s fatal shooting of Amoy Blake.”A 15-year-old male is in custody; it is related to the Amoy Blake case and we expect him to be arraigned tomorrow,” Essex District Attorney Spokesperson Steve O’Connell confirmed Wednesday.Blake’s best friend, Jahleel Sanders Williams, remains held without bail on a murder charge for allegedly participating in the armed robbery.Lynn Police responded to a shooting in the first-floor hallway at 192 Washington St. at 12:30 a.m. April 16. Blake, 18, was taken to Union Hospital, where he died of his injuries.Officials said Blake and Williams were trying to rob a 24-year-old Lynn man at gunpoint when the man pulled out his licensed gun and fatally shot Blake.Williams, 17, pleaded not guilty the next day in Lynn District Court on charges of attempt to commit a crime, armed robbery; and murder. He was ordered held without bail.Prosecutors said that since Blake died while allegedly committing a felony, other participants in that felony can be criminally liable for the teen’s death.The 15-year-old has been charged with murder and is scheduled to be arraigned on the charge today in Lynn District Court, according to O’Connell. O’Connell said he could release no further information prior to arraignment. The 24-year-old man told police one or two other people were with Blake during the alleged incident, according to court records.Although juveniles, both Williams and the 15-year-old will be tried as adults in accordance with state law because they are each being charged with murder.
