The combined English/Classical lacrosse team came out flying in a 13-5 win over Malden Friday at McDonald StadiumLynn scored the first eight goals of the game and then went up 9-1 before Malden made any noise. Corey Wojewodzic led the way for the Shamrocks with three goals and three assists. Adam Bryson, Tony Uva and Sean Hemenway each had two goals and Ryan Magrane, Tyler Craig, Chris Foley and Alex Amico added one each. Amico also had two assists.”They showed up today,” Lynn coach Peter Pappagianopoulos said. “We had good ball movement. We had a great first half.”Pappagianopoulos said he had an opportunity to use a lot of his younger players in the second half. It was also a successful day for the junior varsity, which won 5-4 in double overtime. Foley, who split his time between varsity and JV, tied the game and Justin Kim supplied the game-winner.Lynnfield 14, Cambridge 12At Cambridge, the Lynnfield High lacrosse program recorded its 100th win since it started in 2003.
