REVERE – Police were not able to immediately identify a body that washed up on Revere Beach Wednesday morning and have sent the remains to the state medical examiner’s for further investigation.State and Revere police responded at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday to a report of a human body on the shore across from the Jack Satter House apartment complex at 420 Revere Beach Blvd., near Kelly’s Roast Beef.A spokesperson for Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley said a passerby called 911 after seeing the remains. But police could not initially determine whether the body was that of a male or a female nor the age nor ethnicity of the individual. The spokesperson said the body appeared to be that of an adult, however, there was no identifying information in the person’s clothing.”The amount of time the remains were in the water is one aspect of the investigation,” the spokesperson, Jake Wark, said Wednesday.The body was taken to the state medical examiner’s office where investigators hope to determine the cause and manner of death and the identity of the deceased, Wark said.State Police with the district attorney’s office will lead the investigation.Last week a body washed up on the shore in Lynn near the Nahant rotary.
