Salem State outfielder Cara Crowley of Lynn has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference softball Player of the Year.The former English High star helped lead the Vikings to an 8-6 conference record and a spot in the week?s MASCAC Tournament. She finished second in the conference in batting average with a lofty .403 and third in RBI with 26. Crowley had 14 doubles, two triples and a home run.Crowley is one of four Salem State players named to the MASCAC All-Conference team. The others are Michelle Flower, Rebecca Krigman and Jenn Toussaint.
