Messina threw a complete game one-hitter and struck out six. Messina surrendered his lone hit in the top of the third inning. Messina got into a bases loaded jam win no outs, but induced a double play and followed with a strikeout to get out of the sixth. Tristan Fasheh hit an RBI single in the sixth to put the Panthers up 2-0. Peabody was up 2-1 going into the fifth inning, until the Tanners had a three-run fifth. Key hits from Peabody came from a two-run double by Mike Petrosino and an RBI single by David Hoar. Petrosino provided just about all the offense Peabody required (3-for-4, 4 RBI). Other contributors for the Tanners offense were Hoar (2-for-4, RBI) and Matt Correale (2-for-3, 2 runs scored).
