St. Pius V School hands out scholarships

LYNN – St. Pius V School held its annual Endowment Scholarship Awards Prayer Service on Friday, May 2. Endowment scholarships have been set up by families generally in memory of a loved one and often with a connection to the school. Scholarships are awarded to students who reflect qualities expected in a St. Pius V Elementary student. These qualities are evident in the lives of students who actively participate in the faith life of their church, strive daily to do their best, and respond enthusiastically to the “lived experience” St. Pius V School offers. Awards are given to students nominated by the faculty and administration.2014 Endowment Scholarship winners were: Felice (Phil) Moschella Scholarship, Michelle Palomba ’15; Leonard and Lena Torto Scholarship, Lauren Casey ’15 and Angelina Gauthier ’16; Joanne Bloom-Hutchinson Endowment Scholarship, Carter George ’15; Rev.
