LYNN – A severed cable at Verizon’s local office knocked out FiOS Internet, phone and television service to East Lynn Wednesday afternoon but a spokesperson said the services should be restored by early this morning.”We had a cable failure at Lynn Central Office; it was severed, somehow was cut, we don’t know how yet, but it cut out service for FiOS customers located in the Eastern portion of Lynn,” Verizon spokesperson Phil Santoro said Wednesday evening.Santoro said the incident occurred sometime Wednesday afternoon during routine maintenance at the central office. He said the cut did not appear to be anything other than accidental.
