LYNN – A fight “between brothers” Tuesday ended up with one sibling cut with a switchblade and the other held on $7,500 cash bail for weapons, assault and drug charges.”I spoke with (the defendant) who stated that the fight was ?between brothers’ and would be settled ?later,'” Lynn Police Officer Raymond Therrien wrote in a police report.Kurt Reynolds, 27, of 96 Glover Ave., Quincy, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute Class B drugs, subsequent offense; assault and battery with a dangerous weapon; carrying a dangerous weapon; and assault and battery; at 10:10 a.m. Monday. He was arraigned Tuesday in Lynn District Court where a plea of not guilty was entered on his behalf.Police reported responding to Perkins Street for a report of an outside fight involving a person with a knife. Police arrived at the scene and allegedly saw three men; one of whom was crouching down and putting a black object underneath a red truck. Police later identified this person as Reynolds, and reported finding a double-bladed, double-edged switch blade with a Batman logo under the truck.Another person, identified as Reynold’s brother, was “bleeding profusely” from a 3-to-4-inch cut on his arm and had a wound on his mouth, police reported. The alleged victim claimed he cut himself on a stick, according to police.A woman at the scene told police she had a party the previous night that Reynolds and his brother attended. Police reported that the woman said Reynolds showed up at the apartment that morning and accused the alleged victim of stealing his wallet; but both were “very intoxicated” at the party “and probably left their wallets somewhere else.”Police also allegedly found 11 packets of suspected crack cocaine on Reynolds.Judge James LaMothe ordered Reynolds held on $7,500 cash bail, noting Reynolds had previously served time for a drug offense and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, according to court documents.Reynolds is scheduled to return to court May 27.
