The Peabody boys lacrosse team saw its one-goal lead evaporate against Chelmsford Friday with 35 seconds left, which forced the Tanners into overtime. In the overtime, the Tanners lost 7-6 at Peabody.Peabody (3-10) was down 5-4 going into the final quarter. Peabody tied the game 5-5 with seven minutes left, and took its first lead of the game (6-5), when Josh Fiore found the back of the net with six minutes remaining on the clock. Chelmsford tied the game 6-6 with 35 seconds left, to push the game into overtime. Leading the way for Peabody were Fiore (2 goals, assist) and Zach Billie (goal, assist). Reed Foster and Mike Vadala both had one goal and one assist for the Tanners. Jason Marshall anchored a stingy Peabody defense (10 ground balls).Georgetown 8, Lynnfield 6At Lynnfield, the Pioneers (4-8) were knotted up 4-4 at the end of the first half. The Royals took an 8-5 lead midway through the second half, and were able to hold off Lynnfield. Leading the way for Lynnfield were Dan Sullivan (3 goals) and Johnny Knee (2 goals). Mike Look had a strong performance in goal for the Pioneers (14 saves).North Shore 13, Tech 2At Tech, the Tigers (0-11) received all of their scoring by Cody Enos (2 goals). Anthony Felix recorded one assist for the Tigers. Anthony Sure, Justin Taylor and Billy Ferreras anchored the Tech defense.GIRLS LACROSSENotre Dame 19, Fenwick 7At Hingham, the Crusaders (9-5) were down 13-4 at the end of the first half, and could never fully recover. Leading the way for Fenwick were Merry Harrington (4 goals) and Caroline Crawford (2 goals). Tessa McLaughlin chipped in with a goal for the Crusaders. Meghan Woodworth had a solid performance in net for Fenwick (8 saves).Essex Aggie 8, Revere 4At Revere, the Patriots (1-9) had goals from Ivonne Zapata and Paola Ortez (2 each). Janice DeStefano (14 saves) had a nice game in net. He had four strikeouts, no walks and three of the runs were earned.Danvers 10, Salem 0At Danvers, sophomore-starting pitcher Andrew Olszak made his debut for the Falcons, and did not disappoint. Olszak threw a perfect five innings, threw 43 pitches, and 38 of those were strikes.?Andrew was unbelievable,” Danvers coach Roger Day said. “I have never seen a kid throw that high of a percentage of pitches for strikes. I was very impressed with Andrew today.”Danvers took a 5-0 lead through two innings, and never was threatened. Leading the way for the Falcons offense was Danny Lynch (2 hits). Danvers (11-4) plays Winthrop Wednesday.Gloucester 8, Beverly 1At Gloucester, the Panthers took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning, when Kevin Cueno hit a solo home run. The game was tied 1-1 until the bottom of the fifth, when the Fishermen exploded for seven runs. Leading the way for Beverly was Cueno (2 hits, RBI, run scored) and Sean Curtin (2 hits).
