The Classical baseball team came up with four runs in the top of the seventh inning to overtake Revere 6-5 at Revere Wednesday.Revere took a 2-0 lead in the first, which Classical cut into in the top of the third when Eric Brazell?s single scored Brad Scuzzarella (3 hits).After Revere went up 3-1, Classical closed to within one again on Scuzzarella?s RBI single scoring Tyler Way.Revere extended its lead to 5-2 by the sixth inning, but Classical struck in the seventh. Damien Earp led off by reaching on an error and Scuzzarella got his third hit of the day. Andre Gaudet knocked them both in with a base hit to make it 5-4. After Brazell moved Gaudet into scoring position, Matt Stanley knocked him in. Andrew Moccia got the game-winner on an infield hit.Justin Avery went seven innings to get the win, giving up 11 hits, striking out four, walking one, and allowing four earned runs.?We stuck with it,” said coach Mike Zukowski, “and we were able to pull one out.”Classical is now over the .500 mark at 8-7.Peabody 7, Salem 3At Salem State, the Tanners (13-4) had a three-run fifth to extend their lead to 6-1, and never looked back. Leading the way for the English offense were Kyle O?Connor (2 hits) and Lucas Harris (RBI double). Bulldogs freshman catcher Bryan Nunez had a strong performance behind the plate.Spellman 7, St. Mary?s 2At Spellman, the Spartans (9-5) fell behind 7-0 at the end of the fourth inning, and could never fully recover. St. Mary?s scored two runs in the top of the fifth on an Antonio Felix two-run double. Felix went 2-for-3 at the plate, and pitched three solid innings in relief. Matty Costanza had a strong game defensively for St. Mary?s. The Spartans will look to clinch a spot in the states Saturday against Arlington Catholic.Gloucester 16, S?scott 5At Gloucester, Swampscott (5-12) did not get on the board until the score was 14-0 Beverly.
