The Saugus High baseball team defeated Everett, 5-1, Thursday at Everett and in the process, qualified for the state tournament. The Sachems enjoyed another impressive outing by Kyle Autilio, who struck out 12, allowed five hits and only walked one. The complete-game win saw Autilio (6-2) strike out the side in both the fourth and seventh innings.Saugus trailed 1-0 in the early going, but came back to score three runs on a combination of two hits, a couple of walks and a couple of stolen bases.
