NEC baseball all-stars are announced

The Northeastern Conference All-Conference team has been announced and leading the pack is Peter Clark of Gloucester, a senior infielder who took home Most Valuable Player honors. His coach, Bryan Lafata, was named Coach of the Year and the English High baseball team received the Sportsmanship Award.The NEC All-Conference team also includes outfielders Kyle O?Connor, a junior from English; Brad Scuzzarella, a senior from Classical, and Peabody junior Matt Correale.The All-Conference infield, in addition to Clark, includes Danvers sophomore Andrew Olszak and Peabody junior Ryan Collins. Peabody junior Mike Petrosino is the All-Conference first baseman and senior Brandon Hyde of Danvers, senior Andrew McLaughlin of Peabody and senior David Apostolides of Peabody were named All-Conference pitchers. Jordan Pallazola, a senior from Gloucester, is the catcher and Dillon Kalloch, a Revere senior, earned a spot as a utility player/designated hitter.The Northeastern Conference All-Stars are senior outfielder Sean McGrath; junior infielder Christian Morales, junior outfielder Matt Gronick and junior infielder Bobby Tramandozzi, all of Peabody.Also making the all-star team were senior infielder Jon Berchoff, senior outfielder Matt Hamor, senior outfielder Craig Hall and senior first baseman Kevin Cuneo of Beverly; junior infielder Damien Earp and senior pitcher Justin Avery of Classical; sophomore outfielder Daniel Murphy and senior first baseman Chris Charido, Revere; junior outfielder Lucas Harris, English; senior catcher Austin Connolly and senior infielder Josh McRae, Salem; senior outfielder Curtis Quinn, senior pitcher Drew Shairs, junior DH Bart Margiotta and senior pitcher Conor Harris, Gloucester; senior outfielder Ryan Kelliher, Danvers; senior first baseman Tom Koopman, senior pitcher Jordan Chmara and senior outfielder Trey Blackmer, Marblehead; freshman pitcher Gavin Sullivan, Swampscott, and senior catcher James Baxter, Winthrop.
