Behind a complete-game, two-hit masterpiece from Sabrina Palermo on Wednesday afternoon, the Revere softball team defeated visiting Peabody, 6-0, to create a very interesting scenario in the regular season. At 10-4, the teams are tied for first place in the Northeastern Conference. With the loss, the Tanners (11-6 overall) must rely on a bounce-back effort against Salem on Saturday (2) while the Patriots (14-5 overall) head to Beverly on Friday (4).Despite the victory, Revere coach Joe Ciccarello knows his team must remain hungry.?We?ve won nothing yet,” he explained. “Peabody is a great team and beating them is always an achievement but this season isn?t over.
