Ceremonies will be conducted at each location. The parade will return to the South Lynnfield Fire Station, 59 Summer St., for a brief recess.The parade will reassemble at the Lynnfield Middle School, 505 Main St., at 10 a.m. The parade will then march to the West Burying Ground, Old Burying Ground and Forest Hill Cemetery. Ceremonies will be conducted at each location. The parade will continue to the Lynnfield Common for a final ceremony to begin at approximately 11 a.m. Chairman of the Board of Selectmen David Nelson will deliver the address. After the closing ceremony, refreshments will be served. All activities will be concluded by 1 p.m. In case of heavy rain, ceremonies will be held in the Lynnfield Middle School Auditorium at 11 a.m.Note: For those interested in donating to local veterans, members of Lynnfield’s American Legion Post 131 will be present and accepting donations after the closing ceremony. For more information, please contact Lynnfield Veteran Service Agent Jason Kimball at 781-334-9940.NAHANTNahant Memorial Day paradeDate: Monday, May 26Time: 9:30 a.m. to noonLocation: Spring RoadNahant is introducing a new route for its annual Memorial Day Parade.The parade will step off at 9:30 a.m. from Spring Road, proceed past Mitchell’s Corner and onto Emerald Road to Willow Road to the Wharf, where traditional ceremonies, such as the floating of a wreath on the tide while veterans fire off a 21-gun salute, will take place.The parade will then reform, march up Wharf Street and take a left onto Nahant Road marching past Town Hall and onto the Green Lawn Cemetery without stopping.At the cemetery there will be the traditional ceremony including the reading of the Gettysburg Address.Once that program ends, participants will reform for a short march to Veterans Park for concluding ceremonies that will include a flag raising and the playing of the Star Spangled Banner.For those who only want to join in the ceremony at the cemetery the parade is expected to land in Green Lawn at 11 a.m. and Veterans Park by 11:30 a.m. At the conclusion of the parade, participants are invited to cross the street to the Coast Guard Station, where lunch will be served, as is the tradition.REVERERevere Memorial Day ServiceDate: Monday, May 26Time: 11 a.m.Location: Lawn of the American Legion Building, 249 Broadway.The guest speaker will be Thomas Hill. Born and raised in Revere, Hill graduated from Immaculate Conception High School and remained a lifelong resident. He joined the U.S. Army on Oct. 31, 1942 and was discharged in December 1945 serving in the Pacific with the 5th Army Air Corps as a high speed Radio Operator.Director of Veterans Services Nicholas Bua will serve as emcee of the event. Bua is an Air Force veteran who served in France during the Vietnam War era. The ceremony will include laying of wreaths, musical selections, the playing of ta
