LYNN – A judge ordered $1,000 cash bail for a city man who police arrested at gunpoint after a woman reported the man beat her and had two guns.”En route to the call we observed the screen in our cruiser and the call taker notes for this call stated: ?She said he attacked her, ?he is a (expletive) terrorist and has two guns,'” Lynn Police Officer John Clem wrote in a report.Abed Hasan, 62, of 330 Essex St. #4, was arrested and charged with assault and battery; possession of ammunition without a firearms identification card; and assault with a dangerous weapon; on Tuesday. He pleaded not guilty to the charges at his arraignment Wednesday in Lynn District Court.Police reported responding to the Essex Street apartment at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday and meeting a visibly upset and crying alleged victim. (Police said the woman also had “traumatic injuries to her face,” but said they were the result of a “prior fall unrelated to this incident,” according to reports.)The alleged victim said Hasan was drinking and grabbed her by the hair, threw her to the bed and threw a vase at her (but missed her) following an argument, police reported. The woman said Hasan had guns in the apartment and officers went inside with guns drawn. Officers reportedly found Hasan on the couch, drunk. Police did not recover any guns but found numerous shotgun shells on a table by the front door, police reported.”He stated that he found them in the trash,” police said.Police said Hasan was belligerent and extremely upset, not cooperating with booking.Essex Assistant District Attorney Katelyn Giliberti requested Hasan be held on $2,500 bail, saying the defendant had been subject to four prior restraining orders, had used three aliases in the past and had previous assault and battery charges that had been dismissed.Court-appointed defense attorney Chris Burke said Hasan said the police made a mistake and that he (Hasan) had called police. Burke said Hasan also denied the charges.Judge James Wexler reviewed the report and disputed that police had made a mistake.”He is described as incredibly belligerent and refused to tell police his story; that is not consistent with somebody who called the police,” Wexler said.He ordered $1,000 cash bail and scheduled Hasan to return to court June 20.
