Lynn woman accused of robbing store with needle

LYNN – A Lynn woman was arrested and charged with armed robbery after allegedly threatening a Payless Shoes clerk with a hypodermic needle.According to police, Gina Ramirez, 32, of 35 Bullfinch St., #3, was taken into custody Thursday evening after an incident Wednesday, in which Ramirez allegedly told a Payless Shoes clerk, while brandishing a hypodermic needle, that she and the needle were infected with HIV-AIDs and that she would stab would the clerk if she did not empty the store register and the safe.Police reported that $409 was missing from the store after the incident.Ramirez was arraigned in front of Judge James Lamothe on Friday and is due back in court June 12.
