NAHANT ? The Department of Conservation and Recreation has announced that beaches in Nahant and Revere will be opening early.In a press release Tuesday, the DCR stated, “Commissioner Jack Murray is pleased to announce that DCR beaches and waterfronts will be staffed and guarded 7 days-a-week beginning Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Lifeguards will be on duty from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.”The email listed a number of beaches in Massachusetts, notably for this area, Nahant Beach and Revere Beach.The waterfront of John Pierce Lake at Breakheart Reservation in Saugus will be open beginning Saturday, June 21.
