The Wyoma Little League baseball all-stars rode a combined no-hitter by Bobby Alcock and Kyle Finnigan to a 14-0 win over Winthrop in District 16 Little League baseball action at Grabowski Field in Saugus.Alcock and Finnigan delivered a tough one-two punch with Alcock pitching 2 2/3 innings and Finnigan 1 1/3. The game only went four innings due to the mercy rule. Alcock finished with four strikeouts and Finnigan, three. They only issued three walks combined.Finnigan also swung the bat well, going 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Conor Donohue also went 3-for-4 with two RBI and Billy Norcross had a two-run double in the third inning.Wyoma (13 hits) jumped out early, with seven runs in the first inning, three in the second and four in the third.?It was a big game for the boys,” manager Rick Anderson said. “They got the jitters out. I was very happy with how everyone played. The four subs all got on bases and contributed.”Shortstop Jared DeFillipo had a nice game defensively as did first baseman Shawn Anderson, who snagged a line drive at first and tagged the runner who had left the base for a double play.Wyoma will play Nahant Friday in Nahant at 5:45 p.m.Nahant 10, Saugus American 3On Monday, Nick Rieser pitched four innings for Nahant, striking out eight. Connor Donovan got Nahant started in the first with a 10-pitch at-bat that resulted in a single. Ryan Graciale followed with a two-run homer. Saugus American tied it 2-2 but Nahant?s Tony Conigliaro (nephew of the former Red Sox star) hit an RBI single for a 3-2 lead.In the bottom of the fourth, Graciale hit another two-run shot, part of a five-run inning that also featured a double from Liam Locke. Graciale pitched the last two innings for the save; he fanned four. Nahant plays Wyoma at Nahant Friday (5:45).
