Greater Lynn area Fourth of July fireworks celebrations

LynnThe Lynn fireworks celebration will be held at Red Rock Park in Lynn on Thursday, July 3. The fireworks show will start at approximately 9 p.m.Lois Lane and the Daily Planets will perform from 7-9 p.m. at the park.Fewer parking spaces will be available in the area of Lynn Shore Drive due to the needs of public safety vehicles. Visitors are asked to obey all parking restrictions posted. Residents who are able to walk to the event or park further away are encouraged to do so to help alleviate traffic congestion.Alcohol is not permitted at the event. This will be strictly enforced.Traffic will be shut down on Lynn Shore Drive at Nahant Street and into Swampscott on Humphrey Street at 7:30 p.m. Traffic will not open to motorists until pedestrians have cleared the area. Traffic will be shut down on Ocean Street from New Ocean to Lynn Shore Drive at 6:30 p.m.A decision to delay the show due to inclement weather will be made prior to 7 a.m. on the morning of July 3. Please check www.ci.lynn.ma.us or the City’s twitter@LynnCityHall for up-to-date information on the event.If anyone has any information regarding suspicious behavior, they are encouraged to contact the Lynn Police Department at 781-595-2000 or they can text a tip to Lynn Police at (tiplynn and then the information to tip411). If the event is an emergency and ongoing they should call 911 for all emergencies.
NahantThe Nahant fireworks celebration will be held on Friday, the 4th of July at 9 p.m. at Bailey’s Hill Park on Bailey’s Point Road.
RevereThe Revere fireworks celebration will be held on Sunday, July 20 at 9 p.m. during Revere’s New England Sand Sculpture Festival. This free festival begins on July 18 and features sand sculptors from all over the U.S. and Canada who compete for a $14,000 prize by building their own sand sculptures from their own individual 12-ton allotment of sand imported from Hudson, N.H.The festival has food trucks, vendors, music performances, and crafts and activities for the whole family.
SwampscottThe Swampscott fireworks celebration will be held on Thursday, July 3 at 9 p.m.From 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. the First Church in Swampscott, across from Town Hall, will host a cookout. Hamburgers are $6; hot dogs $5 and they come with two sides, chips and watermelon. Lobster rolls are $12.No parking from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on the ocean side of Humphrey Street from the Lynn town line for safety reasons including public safety access and to clear the view for spectators.?
