Marblehead church holds annual Lobster Roll Luncheon July 4-6

MARBLEHEAD – St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, Marblehead, plans to hold its popular annual Lobster Roll Luncheon as part of the 2014 Marblehead Festival of the Arts, rain or shine, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 4, 5, and 6 on the church lawn at 26 Pleasant St. The three-day event will feature lobster rolls, family-friendly food and soft drinks for visitors of all ages.Staffed by a volunteer team of St. Michael’s parishioners, chaired by Linda Smidt, the luncheon serves scores of local residents and Festival of the Arts visitors each year. For further information, www.stmichaels1714.org.As it has since 1994, St. Michael’s Church will contribute all luncheon profits to North Shore charities and a portion to its sister church and school, St. Thomas in Arcahaie, Haiti.In the past 20 years, $234,000 has been distributed.Organizations that have received Lobster Roll Luncheon support include My Brother’s Table, HAWC, Lifebridge, Esperanza Academy, Marblehead Counseling, Friends of the Abandoned Animals of Marblehead and the Marblehead Food Pantry.
