Those glorious sand sculptures are on Revere Beach, of course, but you might also want to join the Friends of Lynn Woods at the Amphitheater, Pennybrook Road entrance to Lynn Woods, from 11 a.m to 3 p.m. for Kids’ Day in Lynn Woods.
This free event will feature pony rides, face painting, rock painting, bounce house, craft tables and environmental exhibits. Tour Dungeon Rock and learn the legend of Pirate Thomas Veal and his buried treasure. You can bring chairs, a blanket and a picnic lunch. Food will be available for sale at the concession. This event is sponsored by the Lynn Parks and Recreation Department and the Lynn Woods Reservation.
