BOSTON – Accenture says it is collaborating with KIPP Massachusetts, including its school in Lynn, to help recruit companies and nonprofit organizations to host nearly 20 KIPP alumni currently attending high school in summer internships in Lynn and Boston.This partnership is part of an ongoing college and career readiness initiative between Accenture and KIPP schools in nine U.S. cities.Accenture and KIPP have joined forces to partner with 175 companies to sponsor more than 300 summer internships for KIPP high school students in Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Denver, Houston, Philadelphia, San Antonio, the San Francisco Bay Area and Washington, D.C.The internships range from computer science and business to zoo conservation and hospital guest relations. Students are placed at internships matching their career goals and interests. Massachusetts-based companies that will be offering internships to KIPP students include Cabot Corporation, Goodwin Procter and the Northeastern University Marine Science Center in Nahant. Accenture will also offer internships at its offices in each city.”We feel fortunate to be one of the regions partnering with Accenture to offer this exciting opportunity to our KIPPsters.
