Lynn Parks and Rec summer hoop gets under way

The following are results from Parks and Recreation summer hoop league action at Gallagher Park, Pine Hill, on Tuesday.In the elementary school division, Old Neighborhood Foods defeated John?s Oil, 54-28. Louis Rivera led Old Neighborhood with 20 points and Nosa Musa had a team-high 12 for John?s Oil.Also, Gannon defeated Leah, 52-51, with Tanj Purter leading the victors with 15 points and Ghaizel Espinal scoring a game-high 16 in a losing effort.In the middle school division, XTreme defeated Columbia In., 40-38, with the victors getting a game-high 24 from Jack Rodriguez and Luis Santana leading Columbia with 14.In high school play, Lynn City Council edged Rick Ford, 71-68. City Council?s Calvin Johnson scored a game-high 24 while Marcel Wilson and Archie Herron each had 11 for Ford.Also, Lynn Housing Authority edged Eastern Bank, 58-57, with Tyler Ferragamo leading LHA with 10 points and Peter Mafo of Eastern scoring a game-high 16.
