Central Square traffic restrictions on Thursday afternoon

LYNN ? Police are advising residents that portions of Central Square will be closed to traffic late Thursday afternoon for the dedication of a new art exhibit.The dedication of the “Ghosts of Lynn” art exhibit will close Central Square to traffic between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. Thursday. No motor-vehicle traffic will be allowed to enter Central Square from Exchange Street. Wooden barriers will be blocking roads at the following locations:
Across Exchange Street from Mt. Vernon Street to Spring Street
Across Central Square along Union Street from the bus stop to the entrance to stairs leading to the commuter rail platform.
Union Street at Central Square – no turn on to Exchange Street will be allowed.
Motor-vehicle traffic will be allowed to travel up Union Street from Washington Street across Central Square. Vehicles will also be able to turn from Union Street into Central Square heading toward Willow Street.There will be no specific parking restrictions.
