Local trio recognized for 14U baseball All-Star status

Rivals Baseball of the New England Elite Baseball League recognized Dax Billingsley (Lynn), Stephen Pettenati (Saugus) and Nick Dascoli (Saugus) for their selections to the NEEBL 14U D-2 All-Star Team played on July 20. Pettenati was named MVP for the All-Star game.The 14U Rivals Baseball team finished a successful first season with a 26-16 record. Dascoli (.449 batting average), Pettenati (.419) and Billingsley (.330) led the offense and were among the league leaders in hits, runs, RBI and stolen bases. Pettenati (7-1, 1 save) and Billingsley (6-2) led the pitching staff all season long with both compiling ERAs under 2.00.Rivals Baseball competes in the New England Elite Baseball League and is holding 2015 tryouts for the 12U, 13U, 14U and 15U Divisions on Aug. 2, 3 and 9 at Danvers High School.
