Spencer DiVirgilio of Lynn played this past Sunday in the New England Elite Baseball League All-Star Game.DiVirgilio was selected to represent his team, the Vikings, a program comprised from ballplayers north of Boston; the Program Director is Marc Crovo.The All-Star Game was played at St. John?s Prep, which is also where DiVirgilio will be attending this fall as a freshman. DiVirgilio went 1-for-1 with a line-drive single and a walk with a run scored. He pitched a scoreless inning, and also played first base and outfield.DiVirgilio played for Wyoma Little League as a youth ballplayer, and the St. Mary?s freshman team this past fall as an eighth-grader. He graduated from St. Mary?s Junior High with a 3.7 GPA, as a member of the National Junior Honor Society.
