Local woman injured in steep fall

LYNN ? A 29-year-old local woman was injured in a fall near High Rock Tower on Thursday morning.Lynn District Fire Chief Steven Archer said a call came in at 9:38 a.m. for a woman on the ground in the bushes near the Stone Cottage off Hutchinson Court. The shuttered cottage sits at the base of High Rock Tower.?She did not appear to have fallen off the tower,” Archer said. “It appears she fell from a cliff, about a 30-foot drop, and landed on the rocks below.”Archer said there were witnesses to the incident who called for help. He also said the young woman’s injuries appeared to be mostly scrapes and abrasions along with a possible fractured arm. She was conscious the entire time that fire and ambulance personnel attended to her, he added.Lynn’s Engine 1 and Ladder 1 responded to the call along with the safety officer, and Atlantic Ambulance ALS transported the woman, who was not identified, to Massachusetts General Hospital, Archer said.
