In their second game of the season, the North Shore Generals hosted two-time National Champions, the Western Mass Warriors.As predicted, it proved to be an intense matchup.The Warriors got on the board in the first quarter with a touchdown on fourth and inches. They went for the two point conversion and were successful.In the Warriors first possession in the second quarter, they had two large passing gains that put them in the red zone. This set them up to score again when quarterback Chris Borders connected with Chris Macharie for a touchdown. They went for the two-point conversion again but were unsuccessful. Near the end of the second quarter, the Warriors scored their last touchdown of the game with Chris Borders connecting with Darrias Rainy. Their two point conversion attempt failed again this time.In the third quarter, the Generals got on the board with a 42-yard field goal by Klenis Haxhiaj (Beverly). The Generals went on to score their first touchdown of the season in the fourth quarter when quarterback Kelvin Amparo (Gloucester) completed a 45 yard pass to Dimitri Denis (Lynn). The point after attempt was missed, leaving the final score at 20-9.The Generals take the field again tonight (7) to play the Metrowest Colonials at Bowditch Field, 475 Union Ave., Framingham.
